We perform approximately 350 joint replacement surgeries each year including total and partial knee replacement, anterior and lateral approach total hip replacement, and total shoulder replacement.

Joint Replacement Surgery (or “Arthroplasty”) is done when the surfaces of the joint have become too worn to function properly. The ends of the bones are replaced with stainless steel components to provide a durable surface that can last up to 15-20 years. For some patients, this may be done as an outpatient procedure at Saint Charles Surgical Pavilion.
